Motorcyclist Rushed to Hospital After Crash in Portsmouth
A motorcyclist was rushed to hospital following a crash involving two vehicles in Portsmouth this afternoon (Friday, May 12).
Crash Rocks Busy Portsmouth Junction
Emergency services scrambled to the junction of Richmond Road and 1 Road South around lunchtime. Witnesses say a white car pulled out in front of the motorcyclist, who then collided with the passenger side of a white 4×4.
Chaos on the Roads as Emergency Teams Respond
A swarm of emergency vehicles flooded the scene, prompting the roads policing unit to warn drivers to steer clear of the area. One eyewitness said, “I couldn’t get my car out because police had closed the road. It looked bad.”
Victim Taken to QA Hospital
An ambulance spokeswoman confirmed the incident involved a motorbike and a car at the junction of 1 Road and Victoria Road South. A land ambulance swiftly arrived, and the injured motorcyclist was taken to QA Hospital in Cosham.
