Chaos at Oakwood School: Police Called as Lockdown Sparks Panic

Oakwood School was thrown into lockdown earlier today following a tense incident involving a student. Police quickly responded to the scene, turning what should have been a normal lunchtime into chaos.

Parents Panic as Students Locked Down and Hide Under Desks

Parents were soon flooded with frantic messages from children trapped in classrooms. Some students reportedly hid under desks in fear during the lockdown, which was enforced while many were out for lunch.

“My son had messages from his mates showing them under the desk. They haven’t had lunch; it happened at 13:23,” revealed parent Johanna de Vine.

Another worried parent, Shannen Lester, added,

“My son said they are doing an intruder alarm – he hasn’t been told anything and I can’t get through to the school.”

Official Word: Police and School Confirm Situation Under Control

Kevin Smith, a parent at Oakwood, reassured concerned families:

“The school is in lockdown, and police are in attendance. This is an issue with a student, and because it was lunchtime, they felt it best to lockdown as the kids were all out. The student involved is with the police, and there is little risk.”

He also confirmed there were no ambulances on site, indicating no serious injuries.

The school released a statement saying:

“We have a situation involving a student which has escalated to it being necessary to contact the police. The school is in full lockdown as per procedure, and all students are safe in their classrooms. Please do not come to the school. We will update you as soon as possible.”

Lockdown Lifted, but Investigation Ongoing

As tensions eased, reports confirmed students were gradually released from lockdown safely. Parent Joanne Hill simply posted,

“Let out now.”

The incident is now resolved, but police remain on site to wrap up their investigation. Details remain scarce, but early reports suggest a student lashed out at a teacher.

Parents and guardians are urged to stay tuned for further updates and official communication from Oakwood School.
