Ramsgate Car Chase Drama: Man Arrested After Attempted Robbery

Detectives launch hunt for witnesses after a wild attempted robbery spree ending in a nail-biting car chase from Ramsgate to Margate on the evening of Thursday, December 19, 2024.

Attempted Robbery Sparks High-Speed Pursuit

At around 8:45 pm, a man was confronted by two suspects in a silver VW near Ramsgate Harbour on Military Road. They demanded he hand over his valuables. The victim refused, jumped into his car, and tried to escape.

The suspects didn’t let up—they followed him dangerously all the way to Margate, smashing the victim’s car window during the chase. The victim managed to reach Margate police station, forcing the suspects to flee.

20-Year-Old Arrested, But The Search Continues

Police found the suspects’ vehicle and arrested a 20-year-old Margate man on Sunday, December 29. He’s now out on bail as inquiries ramp up.

Cops Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
