One Year On: Police Urge Witnesses to Solve Max’s Petts Wood Stabbing Tragedy
Fatal Stabbing at Jubilee Country Park
On September 20, 2023, at around 2.30pm, emergency crews rushed to Jubilee Country Park near Tent Peg Lane, Petts Wood, after reports of a stabbing. Despite efforts from police and air ambulance paramedics, Max was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Renew Appeal for Crucial Information
A year later, officers are desperately seeking any clues about the deadly attack. Detective Inspector Adam Guttridge, leading the probe, said: “It has been a challenging year, and we are still seeking crucial information about the events that led to this young man’s death. We want to provide answers to Max’s family and ensure justice is served.”
DI Guttridge stressed no detail is too small. He urged anyone who was in Jubilee Park that day and hasn’t spoken to police to come forward immediately.
Heartbroken Family Plea for Justice
Max’s sister described him as a “kind boy” and a “peacemaker” who loved music and treasured time with family and friends. She said, “We are stuck in a constant state of despair, knowing that whoever is responsible for Max’s murder has not been brought to justice.”
She made a direct appeal to the public: “There are people out there who know what happened to my brother that day. Please do the right thing and come forward.”
Investigation Continues – Police Launch Online Portal
Despite two arrests earlier in the investigation, the case remains unsolved. Police have now created a dedicated online portal for tips and images relating to Max’s murder.
