Woman Fights Off Stranger Trying to Drag Her from Car
Between 7.50pm and 8.25pm last Friday (April 16), a woman in her twenties was attacked while sitting in her car. A man suddenly yanked open her door and tried to pull her out.
Quick-thinking, the victim kicked the attacker and he slunk away along St Peters Road towards Wokingham Road.
Similar Incident Half Hour Earlier
About 30 minutes earlier, a man matching the same description tried the handle of another woman’s car nearby. He also asked for her phone number. She sped off and escaped unharmed.
Police Seek Public’s Help to ID Suspect
Neither woman was injured in these frightening incidents.
Investigating officer Sergeant Alex Willis from Reading police station said:
“I am releasing these images of a man who we believe may have vital information about these incidents. If you recognise this individual, or you are this person, please contact Thames Valley Police on 101, quoting reference 43210161098.
Alternatively, you can report online or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
The police urge anyone with info not to stay silent. Help keep the streets safe!
