Teen Arrested After Triple Car Crash Horror in Tower Hamlets
An 18-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after three people were hurt in two linked car incidents in Tower Hamlets on Friday night.
The suspect remains in custody while police probe what they call a “serious and deliberate act of violence.”
First Crash: Morpeth Street Mayhem
The chaos began around 9.15pm on June 14 in Morpeth Street, E2. Emergency crews found a man in his 20s hit by a vehicle. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are still searching for a second victim from the same crash, whose condition hasn’t been confirmed.
Second Smash: Eastfield Street Escape
Minutes later, a second collision hit Eastfield Street, E14. This time, a man in his 40s was treated at the scene before heading to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The car’s four occupants fled on foot. One has been caught—the 18-year-old suspect—but three others remain on the run.
Police Urge Witnesses to Step Up
The Metropolitan Police confirmed both crashes are connected and a full investigation is ongoing.
“These are serious offences, and we are working urgently to establish what happened,” a police spokesperson said. “Anyone who saw either incident or has CCTV or dashcam footage should come forward.”
