Chaos in Tower Hamlets: Three injured in linked smash-ups involving same car. One man, 18, nabbed for attempted murder.
Double Trouble on East London Streets
At 9:15pm on Saturday 14 June, a car struck two pedestrians on Morpeth Street, E2. One victim suffered minor injuries, the other’s condition is still unknown. Police are urging the second victim to get in touch.
Minutes later, emergency crews rushed to Eastfield Street, E14, where the same car was involved in a second collision. A man in his 40s was treated at the scene before hospitalisation. His injuries are not life-threatening.
One Arrest, Three Suspects Still on the Run
After the incidents, all four occupants of the car fled on foot. Police arrested an 18-year-old man on Sunday 15 June, charging him with attempted murder. He remains in custody. Detectives are desperately hunting the other three suspects linked to the vehicle.
Police Launch Urgent Appeal
“We’re investigating these linked incidents and need anyone who saw what happened or has CCTV, dashcam, or phone footage to step forward,” said a Metropolitan Police spokesperson.
