Murder Probe Launched After Woman Found Dead in Cowley

Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit has opened a murder investigation after a woman was found dead at a home on Lytton Road, Cowley, early this morning.

Man Found Seriously Injured at Scene

Officers arrived at the property at around 5.11am on 17 June. Inside, they discovered the woman deceased and a man suffering serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital and remains in critical condition.

Police Appeal for Witnesses as Investigation Underway

“This morning we have launched a murder investigation as sadly a woman has died,” said Detective Superintendent Ian Hunter, head of the Major Crime Unit.

“We are in the very early stages of our inquiry and urge anyone with information to come forward. Expect to see increased police presence in the area as we investigate the circumstances.”

Residents with concerns are encouraged to approach officers on duty.
