Specialist Diver Peter Faulding, famous for his role in the Nicola Bulley case, has jumped into the urgent search for missing 21-year-old Sebastian Sailes in Chippenham, Wiltshire.
Faulding, CEO of Specialist Group International (SGI), and his team arrived this morning to boost the efforts to find Sebastian. The young man was last seen twelve days ago, on Thursday 27 February, leaving The Black Horse pub in Chippenham town centre around 11.30pm.
He reportedly walked along Lovers Walk following the River Avon towards his home in Notton, near Lacock. But Sebastian never made it home, sparking a multi-agency search focused on the river.
Specialist Group International Joins the Hunt
At around 10am on Monday, five bright red SGI rescue vehicles roared down the A350 in Chippenham before pulling up near the River Avon. Peter Faulding was spotted inspecting the riverbank, gearing up in water rescue kit, and rallying his team.
While 123 criticised some aspects of his involvement, Faulding defends his skills and methods.
Family Pleads for Sebastian’s Safe Return
On 5 March, Sebastian’s family opened up with a heartfelt plea:
“We are a very close family and are all extremely anxious and praying for the safe return of our much-loved son Sebastian. We are unbelievably grateful for the efforts of the police and all the amazing volunteers. The public support has been heart-warming, and we appeal to anyone who may have information to contact 123 immediately.
