Blaze in Kitchen Grill Pan Sparks Fire Crew Rush on Isle of Wight
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service raced to a house near Newchurch on Wednesday evening after a small kitchen fire broke out.
Two Fire Crews Tackle Grill Pan Flames
Shortly after 6.30 pm, crews from Ryde and Newport arrived at a detached home in Skinners Lane. A grill pan fire had started in the kitchen, but firefighters quickly brought it under control.
Working Smoke Alarms Save the Day
The property was ventilated using a fan. Thanks to working smoke alarms, the owner was alerted in time and called the fire service, preventing what could have been a much worse blaze.
