Young Man Charged After Gruesome Stabbing Near Oswestry
A 24-year-old man faces six serious charges following a stabbing on the edge of Oswestry, West Mercia Police have confirmed.
Victim Hospitalised with Serious Injuries
Robert North, from Weston Close in Morda, is charged after a violent incident on Friday, July 19. Officers rushed to the scene at around 9pm, finding a 43-year-old man with stab wounds.
The victim was rushed to Royal Stoke Hospital with serious injuries. Thankfully, police say his condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
Multiple Charges Dropped on Suspect
North now faces six charges in total, including:
- Two counts of wounding with intent
- Two counts of carrying a knife or sharp article in public
- Two counts of assault causing actual bodily harm
North was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder. Police also arrested two other men: a 37-year-old for possession of an offensive weapon and obstruction of police, and a 53-year-old for criminal damage.
