County Line Drug Dealer Jailed for Brutal Knife Attack

Callum Andrews, a ruthless drug dealer tied to the notorious ‘Culture’ county line, has been locked up for 20 years after stabbing a man multiple times in Dover. The 22-year-old launched the savage attack at a property he was using as a drug base — a grim example of “cuckooing,” where criminals exploit vulnerable homes.

Victim Left Fighting for Life

The victim suffered serious stab wounds to his chest, shoulder, and hands. He was rushed by air ambulance to a London hospital for life-saving treatment after collapsing on a nearby road. Police credit quick medical help for saving his life.

From Knife Attack to Capture

  • Andrews, with no fixed address, stabbed the victim early on 6 October 2020 after a chance meeting at the cuckooed home on Balfour Road.
  • He fled by taxi and train, eventually escaping Kent with an associate.
  • Kent and Essex Serious Crime detectives tracked Andrews’ movements via CCTV and arrested him six days later in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire.
  • Forensic evidence including Andrews’ DNA on a mug and phone at the scene sealed the case.

Judge Hits County Line Gangster with Heavy Sentence

At Cambridge Crown Court, Andrews was jailed for 13 years for causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) in Dover. He received an additional sentence for a separate Bedfordshire GBH case, totalling 20 years behind bars plus a five-year extended licence period.

Detective Constable Becki Thomas, from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate said: “This case illustrates all too clearly how the activity of county line gangs can quickly turn into acts of serious violence. The injuries suffered by the victim could so easily have been fatal. I praise the officers who provided first aid and the medics who treated him. Andrews is an extremely dangerous man, and I am pleased he has been removed from the streets for a considerable time.”

Kent Police vow to keep rooting out county line criminals to stop the brutal violence these gangs bring to communities.
