Man Charged with Murder and Kidnap in Loughton Death
Junior Kettle, 31, of Kingsdown Road, Islington, is now charged with two counts of kidnap and one count of murder. He appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 7 November, and was remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, 6 January 2023.
Three Others Also Face Charges
Earlier, three men were charged with murder and kidnap. They are Erdogan Ulcay, 55, of Oakeshott Avenue, Camden; Ali Kavak, 25, of De Quincey Road, Tottenham; and a 17-year-old boy. All are due to attend the Old Bailey on 6 January 2023.
A fourth man, aged 55, arrested on suspicion of murder, has been bailed until mid-November pending further inquiries.
Victim Found Dead in Loughton
The body of 43-year-old Koray Alpergin was discovered near Oakwood Hill Industrial Estate in Loughton at around 11:55 am on Saturday, 15 October by Essex Police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation Underway After Missing Persons Report
The Met Police took over the investigation after officers were searching for Mr Alpergin and a 33-year-old woman, who was later found safe and unharmed. Authorities were alerted at 1:51 pm on Friday, 14 October, when the pair were reported missing from Ebony Crescent, Enfield. They had last been seen the previous night and were known to each other.
