Pervert Caught Sending Sexts to Fake 13-Year-Old

Craig Helps, 32, from Staple Hill, Bristol, pleaded guilty at Bristol Crown Court to two counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child. In March 2019, Helps messaged an online profile he believed belonged to a 13-year-old schoolgirl.
Graphic Messages and Videos Sent
Using the fake name ‘Craig Shane’, Helps sent images of his erect penis and porn videos. He even asked the supposed child if she had “ever been fucked.” Unbeknown to Helps, the profile was a sting set up by the paedophile hunting group, UK Database.
Confronted at Parents’ Home
Helps’ aggressive and sexually explicit demands forced the vigilantes to confront him at his parents’ house in Staple Hill. When questioned, Helps admitted to sending the explicit content. Shockingly, he claimed, “no, I did it just for banter” when asked if he was attracted to children.
Upcoming Sentencing
Helps will face sentencing at Bristol Crown Court on 11th November 2020.
