Cop Faces Serious Charges After Shocking Court Appearance
PC Isaque Rodrigues-Leite, a member of the Roads and Transport Policing Command, pleaded not guilty to a raft of disturbing charges at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 27 January.
Serious Allegations Laid Bare
- Six counts of false imprisonment
- Two counts of threats to kill
- Two counts of actual bodily harm (ABH)
- One count of coercive and controlling behaviour involving fear of violence
- One count of criminal damage
The charges come after a probe by the South Area BCU. PC Rodrigues-Leite has been suspended from duty pending further investigation.
Next Steps and Victim Support
He was released on bail and will face Croydon Crown Court on Monday, 14 November. Specialist officers are currently supporting the victim and will continue to do so throughout the legal battle.
