Joggers and Walkers Targeted in Cheriton High Street Robbery Spree
Two attempted robberies rocked Cheriton High Street on Monday night, January 23, 2023. Both victims were approached and threatened for money but managed to escape unharmed.
Quick-Thinking Victims Foil Robbery Attempts
- At 8 p.m., a jogger was stopped by a man demanding cash. The jogger refused and got away safely.
- Just five minutes later, a man in his sixties faced the same demand nearby. He also refused, causing the suspect to flee the scene.
Suspect Caught and Bailed
Police acted swiftly and arrested a 37-year-old Folkestone man on February 1. He faces two counts of attempted robbery but was granted bail until April 26 as investigations continue.
