Teen Stabbed in Crawley: 18-Year-Old Charged with Attempted Murder
An 18-year-old man has been slapped with attempted murder charges following a brutal stabbing in Crawley over the weekend. The victim, a 15-year-old boy, remains in serious condition in hospital.
Late-Night Attack Sends Teen to Hospital
Emergency services raced to Burdock Close at around 11:20 PM after reports of a stabbing. The teenage victim was rushed to hospital with severe injuries and is currently fighting for his life.
Suspect in Custody, Others Released on Bail
Carling Poynter from Broadfield, Crawley was arrested early Monday and will face 123 Crown Court on June 5. A 17-year-old boy and a 35-year-old woman were also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender but have since been released on bail as investigations continue.

“Our thoughts remain with the young victim and his family after the devastating events of Sunday night,” said Superintendent Imran Asghar. “The suspect is now in custody, but we urge anyone with info or footage to contact police online or call 101, quoting Operation Langstone.”
