Man Stabbed Outside Vape Shop in Battle
Police are hunting witnesses after a violent stabbing in Battle on Tuesday morning, 7 February.
At around 10:30am, emergency services rushed to a vape shop in Old Ladies Court, near Battle High Street, following reports of a serious assault.
Victim Suffers Serious Leg Injuries
A 21-year-old local man was found with stab wounds to his leg and a battered face. He was rushed to Conquest Hospital in hastings/" title="Hastings" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Hastings, where he remains in stable condition.
His sister told social media: “My brother was stabbed today after his shop was robbed on Sunday night.” She added, “His face was battered and two stab wounds to the leg needed stitches.”
Possible Link to Break-In
The same vape shop was broken into overnight on Sunday. Police have not confirmed if the two incidents are connected, but a thorough investigation is underway.
Detective Sergeant Rob Tillyer said:
“This is a fast-moving investigation and our officers are carrying out extensive enquiries. Tackling serious violence like this remains a high priority for the force.”
