County Lines Drug Dealer Banged Up for 31 Months
A Telford county lines drug dealer has been slammed with a 31-month jail sentence for flooding the streets with deadly class A drugs.
Dealer Caught Red-Handed After Foot Chase
Ishmel Hanson, 34, from Priorslee’s John Earlam Close, was caught after officers spotted his white BMW near his home in August 2025. When police approached, Hanson bolted — sparking a swift foot chase. He was quickly cornered and found carrying £260 cash and two mobile phones.
Cache of Drugs and Cash Uncovered at Home
Police searched Hanson’s car and found a wrap of heroin. A later raid on his home uncovered an arsenal of crack cocaine and heroin worth around £640. They also seized designer clothes valued at £7,000 and a stash of £6,800 cash — including £6,000 hidden in a sock.
Part of ‘Tiger Line’ County Drug Operation
Officers identified Hanson as a key player in the notorious ‘Tiger Line’ drug network spreading poison through the region.
He admitted to two counts of being involved in supplying class A drugs and one count of acquiring criminal property.
On 5 March, Shrewsbury Crown Court sentenced him to 31 months behind bars.
“Hanson played an active role in a county line that brought harmful class A drugs into our communities,” said Detective Sergeant Steve Miller from Telford’s Proactive CID.
“Thanks to quick police action, we stopped him, seized significant drugs and cash, and dismantled yet another link in this criminal network. This sentence shows how seriously we take these offenders who exploit vulnerable people for profit.”
