Speeding BMW Driver Caught Red-Handed
Majinder Singh Virk was caught tearing along Moseley Road in Bilston at 49-54mph, racing just after 1.50pm on 7 January. He dangerously overtook cars on the wrong side of the road before losing control and smashing into the moped near the Prouds Lane junction.
Victim Endures Life-Saving Treatment
The impact was so brutal the woman’s helmet flew off. She needed urgent, life-saving treatment and continues to suffer from serious, life-altering injuries. Virk stayed at the scene, where police confirmed his dangerous speed in a swift collision investigation.
Justice Served: Three Years Behind Bars
Virk, from Norbury Road, Wolverhampton, pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving. Last Monday (22 December), Birmingham Crown Court sentenced him to three years in prison. He’s also banned from driving, ensuring he won’t put anyone else at risk on the roads.
