Pervert, 22, sends nappy pics to 16-year-old after being banned from contact
Shocking breach of sexual risk order
A 22-year-old man on the Isle of Wight defied a court order and promptly sent photos of himself wearing a nappy to a teenage girl. Isle-of-Wight Magistrates’ Court heard that Simmonds ignored a sexual risk order barring him from contacting anyone under 18.
Disturbing messages spark police alert
Simmonds, previously living in East Cowes, admitted breaching the order twice. Prosecutor Charles Nightingale revealed he first asked a 16-year-old for her boyfriend’s contact details – then sent creepy snaps of himself in a nappy holding a sign branding himself a paedophile.
“This caused concern, alarm and distress to this young woman,” said Mr Nightingale.
After being interviewed by police, Simmonds brazenly messaged the girl again under a fake name. One Snapchat message read: “I’m going to rape you.” The victim promptly reported him to police.
On the run and still a risk
Simmonds had moved to Dorset without telling his offender manager, raising further alarm over his intentions. The Crown warned he poses a “current and ongoing risk to young persons” due to “persistent and deliberate breaches” of his legal restrictions.
Case escalated to Crown Court
The magistrates agreed Simmonds’ offences were too serious to handle locally. He was remanded in custody at HMP Albany and will be sentenced at the Isle of Wight Crown Court this October.
