Teen Thugs Threaten Man with Knife and Hammers at McDonald’s Drive-Thru

Detectives are scrambling for info after a man was menaced by a gang of teenagers wielding a knife and hammers at a McDonald’s Drive Through in Croft Retail Park. The shocking attack happened just before 3pm on Friday, July 14.

Three Teens Target Victim in Fast Food Car Queue

Police say three teenage boys approached a man sitting in his car and threatened him with deadly weapons. Terrified, the victim reported the scare straight away, prompting a rapid police response.

Cops Nab Two Teens, Hunt Third Suspect

When officers spotted the suspects in the retail park, the teens bolted and tried to hide their weapons. But sharp police work led to the recovery of the knife and hammers. Two 15-year-olds from Rock Ferry and Oxton were arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.

Both have been released on bail as the investigation continues. The third teen is still at large.

Detective Urges Witnesses to Speak Up

“This was a serious and reckless attack,” said Detective Inspector David Sung, who is leading the case. “We commend the victim for quickly reporting the incident. We need anyone who saw what happened or has CCTV footage to come forward.”

The detective called on the community to help keep the streets safe and vowed to crack down on weapon carriers.
