Man Brutally Attacked Outside Heaven Nightclub in Early Hours
Just after 3am on Friday, November 18, a man in his 30s was viciously punched several times in the face while standing at the bottom of the stairs outside Heaven nightclub on Victoria Street.
The assault left the victim with serious head injuries. He was rushed to hospital and is now recovering at home.
Suspect Flees Scene, CCTV Investigation Underway
The attacker fled quickly after the assault. Police are combing through CCTV footage and witness statements to track him down.
Detectives have released images of a man they believe may have crucial information to aid their investigation.
Detective Pleads for Witnesses to Step Forward
Detective Inspector Neil Dillon said: “This was a dangerous and reckless attack that has left the victim seriously injured. Such violence will never be tolerated on the streets of Merseyside.
“The nightclub would have been busy at the time. I urge anyone who saw what happened or knows anything to get in touch. I also appeal to the man featured in the released images, or anyone who recognises him, to come forward. They could hold vital information for our enquiry.”
