Two Teens Charged Over Fatal Regent’s Park Road Stabbing
Two 15-year-old boys have been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of 18-year-old Yusuf Mohamoud. The teens, whose identities are protected due to their age, were charged on Friday, 11 August.
Youth Court Appearance Set
The suspects are due to appear at Willesden Youth Court on Saturday, 12 August, where the case will progress amid heightened police scrutiny.
Deadly Attack Sparks Murder Probe
- Police were called to Regent’s Park Road, N3, at 9.40pm on Monday, 7 August following reports of a stabbing.
- Officers and the London Ambulance Service arrived to find Yusuf critically injured; he tragically died at the scene.
- A post-mortem on Wednesday, 9 August confirmed a stab wound as the cause of death.
- Yusuf, from Enfield, leaves behind a grieving family supported by the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
Police Hunt Third Suspect
Detective Chief Inspector Neil Rawlinson said: “We’ve made good progress with two arrests but are still searching for a third suspect.
I urge anyone near Regent’s Park Road and Lichfield Grove between 9pm and 10pm on 7 August to come forward.”
He added, “Another young man has lost his life to violence. We need the public’s help to bring justice for Yusuf and his family.”
