Salad Ahmed Mohamed, 36, from Islington, was charged with one count of rape on Wednesday, 13 April. He was immediately kept in custody and appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court the following day, Thursday, 14 April.

Mohamed was remanded in custody and will face Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
Incident in Wormwood Scrubs Sparks Police Appeal
The charges relate to an incident reported on Thursday, 7 April in Wormwood Scrubs, W12. A woman told police she was assaulted inside a vehicle. Police have since made a public appeal for any witnesses or information to come forward.
