Ashford Drug Dealers Caught Red-Handed Trying to Flee Through Window
Two Ashford drug dealers made a desperate bid to escape Kent Police—by leaping through a window. Their stunt failed spectacularly. Dylan Skenderi, 19, from Barnett Field, and 20-year-old Reece Parker of Crownfield Road, were both jailed after admitting to dealing class A drugs, including crack cocaine and heroin.
Drugs Network Dismantled After Police Sting
Kent Police’s thorough investigation smashed a local drug supply ring. Detectives tracked messages from Skenderi’s phone to bulk text systems used to peddle drugs across Ashford between October and December 2023. Phone records also tied Parker to the network from November to December 2023.
Police raided Skenderi’s home on 20 December 2023. Parker was caught mid-escape, trying to jump out of a window, while Skenderi had already jumped into the garden. Both were arrested on the spot.
- Officers seized cannabis, drug paraphernalia, and several phones.
- At Parker’s flat, a large wrap of cocaine and a bundle of cash were found.
Reoffender Skenderi Busted Again Awaiting Trial
Skenderi didn’t learn his lesson. On 24 July 2024, while out on bail, he was arrested again in Ashford for suspected ongoing drug dealing. He attempted to ditch a burner phone during the arrest, but cops recovered it as evidence.
Jail Sentences Delivered at Canterbury Crown Court
On 13 September 2024, Skenderi was sentenced to three years and six months behind bars. Parker was handed two years and nine months, both after pleading guilty.
Detective Constable Holly Bayliss said: “The misery caused by substance abuse goes beyond the users. It ripples through communities, hitting residents and businesses hard. We work tirelessly to cut off drug supply lines and bring those responsible to justice.”
She added: “Skenderi showed complete contempt by dealing drugs even while on bail. Thankfully, the efforts of Skenderi and Parker to flood our streets with drugs have been stopped. I’m pleased they’re now behind bars.”
