Five Teens Charged Over Brutal 2019 Southwark Murder
Five teenagers have been hit with murder charges over the stabbing death of 18-year-old Clinton Evbota in Southwark back in October 2019.
Who’s Been Charged?
- A 17-year-old male from Coulsden
- A 15-year-old male from Camberwell
- Rio Williams, 18, from Stockwell
- A 17-year-old male from Stockwell
- Another 15-year-old male from Camberwell – set to appear at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court in County Durham
These suspects are due in Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 11 February.
Night of Terror on Brandon Estate
Police rushed to Grimsel Path on the Brandon Estate, SE5, just after 8.20pm on 10 October 2019, following reports of a stabbing. Officers found Clinton suffering multiple stab wounds and he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene by 9.14pm.
A post-mortem confirmed the cause of death as multiple stab wounds. Specialist Crime Command detectives are still running extensive inquiries.
Earlier Developments
In December last year, a 16-year-old boy from Camberwell was also charged with the murder and appeared at Bromley Youth Court. Meanwhile, a 14-year-old arrested in connection with the case has now been released without charges.
