Man Jailed for Nearly Five Years After Brutal Stabbing in Thundridge
A 22-year-old has been locked up for almost five years after stabbing a man twice in a violent attack in Thundridge.
Samuel Clarke Sentenced at St Albans Crown Court
Samuel Clarke, from Wormald Close, Hertford, was sentenced to four years and eight months on Monday, 9 February. He admitted guilt over the stabbing following a guilty plea.
Terrifying Stabbing on Woodlands Road
- Police rushed to Woodlands Road just after 9pm on Monday, 1 September 2025, after a fight between two men.
- The victim suffered two deep stab wounds to his abdomen and feared for his life.
- Clarke was arrested the same night as East Herts CID launched a full-scale investigation.
More Charges and Court Twist
Clarke also faced charges for making threats to kill in a separate knife incident in Hertford in August. He first pleaded not guilty but switched to guilty in a November hearing.
