Terrifying Stabbing on Woodlands Road

  • Police rushed to Woodlands Road just after 9pm on Monday, 1 September 2025, after a fight between two men.
  • The victim suffered two deep stab wounds to his abdomen and feared for his life.
  • Clarke was arrested the same night as East Herts CID launched a full-scale investigation.

More Charges and Court Twist

Clarke also faced charges for making threats to kill in a separate knife incident in Hertford in August. He first pleaded not guilty but switched to guilty in a November hearing.

“You act in the most outrageous manner… you stabbed him twice… he ran away believing he would die. You should be under no illusions; he easily could have…” – Judge sentencing Clarke

Clarke is now banned from contacting his victim under a restraining order as he begins his jail term.
