Ex-Labour Aide Escapes Jail After Shocking Indecent Exposure Against Teen
A former senior Labour aide has dodged prison despite admitting to two indecent exposure offences, including a terrifying incident involving a 13-year-old girl.
Sam Gould’s Fall from Grace
Sam Gould, 33, from Hornchurch, once served as a top aide to Health Secretary Wes Streeting and was an elected Labour councillor for Redbridge Council. But his political career came crashing down after he terrified a teenage girl in Romford by chasing her while exposing himself.
Following the incident, Gould was swiftly sacked by Streeting and resigned from his council post. Police investigations then linked him to an earlier indecent exposure offence in Hornchurch.
Gruesome Details of the Offences
- February 9: In Patricia Drive, Hornchurch, a female dog walker spotted Gould masturbating in his car after he passed her twice. She bravely noted his car registration and contacted police.
- March 8: Gould targeted a 13-year-old girl walking alone on Hainault Road, Romford, exposing himself again in a chilling attack.
Justice Served But No Jail Time
On April 28, Barkingside Magistrates’ Court sentenced Gould, who admitted both offences. Despite the shocking nature of the crimes, he avoided imprisonment—a decision that has left many questioning if justice was fully done.
