London Gang Busted for Brutal Burglary in Seaford
A London gang has been nailed for a violent burglary at a Seaford home. Police swooped on 7 January after a distress call from a property on Coxwell Close.
Knives, Assault and Stolen Loot
Two men, Remy Cadoret and Romeo Dankwa, both 20, along with an unnamed 15-year-old boy, forced their way inside. During the raid, one thug brandished a knife and assaulted a man living at the property.
The crooks made off with cash, bank cards, and a haul of electronics.
High-Speed Chase Ends in Crash and Arrest
Police acted fast using intelligence to track the suspects’ getaway vehicle. After a tense pursuit, the car crashed, and all three were arrested on the spot.
Guilty Verdicts and Upcoming Sentencing
- Cadoret (Mayola Road, Hackney) and Dankwa (Walford Road, Hackney) were found guilty after a three-week trial at Brighton Crown Court that started 24 June.
- The 15-year-old from Bromley pleaded guilty earlier and was referred to the Youth Offender Panel.
- Cadoret and Dankwa face sentencing at Brighton Crown Court on 20 September.
Detective Constable Steven Pittman said: “This was a shocking incident and I am glad that convictions have been secured. They are dangerous individuals who caused huge distress to the property owners, who not only had their property stolen but were violently threatened and assaulted. I hope their sentences reflect the seriousness of this crime and act as a deterrent to those thinking of offending. We will tackle offenders robustly.”
