Man Airlifted to Hospital After Horror Crash in Bilston
A man in his 20s was airlifted to hospital after a serious collision between a motorbike and a car this afternoon in Bilston.
Crash at Busy Bull Lane Junction
Emergency services rushed to the junction of Bull Lane and Charnwood Close just before 2pm. West Midlands Ambulance Service sent an ambulance, paramedic officer, and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford, with a doctor on board, to the scene.
Serious Leg Injury
Paramedics found the motorcyclist lying on the pavement with a severe leg injury. He received specialist trauma care, pain relief, and was immobilised before being airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
Car Driver Treated for Shock
The female driver of the car was treated at the scene for shock and released shortly afterwards.
West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman: “It quickly became apparent he had suffered a serious leg injury in the incident. He was given specialist care before the airlift.”
