Man Charged After Brutal Knife Attack in Ashford

Kent Police have charged a man following a vicious assault in Ashford last Friday night.

Victim Hospitalised with Serious Facial Injuries

Emergency services were called to Rayworth Court at 6.45pm on 10 October 2025 after reports of a violent stabbing. A 19-year-old man was found with severe facial wounds and rushed straight to hospital for urgent treatment.

Suspect Caught at the Scene and Charged

Police arrested 25-year-old James Wood of Adams Drive, Willesborough, at the scene. He now faces charges of intent to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of a knife. Wood has been remanded in custody pending further legal action.

Next Court Date Booked

Wood appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday 13 October and is scheduled to appear at Canterbury Crown Court soon.
