Man Charged Over Murder of Missing Irish Woman Tina Satchwell
In a shocking breakthrough, a man in his 50s has been charged with the murder of Tina Satchwell, the Irish woman who vanished from Youghal, Co Cork, back in March 2017. Police made the grim discovery of her skeletal remains buried beneath a house in Youghal earlier this week.
Remains Confirmed as Tina Satchwell’s After Intensive Investigation
Forensic teams confirmed the remains belong to Ms. Satchwell following DNA tests carried out at Cork University Hospital. The discovery came after a painstaking search involving heavy machinery, including diggers, as officers scoured the property thoroughly.
A screen was put up outside the property to shield the investigation from public view, while locals laid flowers to pay tribute to Tina’s memory.
Suspect to Appear in Cashel Court This Saturday
The accused is due to appear at a special sitting of Cashel District Court on Saturday. Authorities are expected to reveal further details about the case during the hearing.

Alongside the property in Youghal, police also searched another site between Youghal and Killeagh, Co Cork, as part of their ongoing efforts to uncover the full details surrounding Tina’s disappearance and suspected murder.
