A brutal stabbing on New Market Street in Colne has ended in tragedy. On Sunday, March 31, at around 2.25pm, paramedics rushed to the scene where they found a man with serious injuries.
Victim Identified as Richard Chamberlain
The victim was 34-year-old Richard Chamberlain, a local resident. Despite emergency efforts, Richard sadly died shortly after the attack.
Multiple Stab Wounds Prove Fatal
A postmortem confirmed that Richard’s death was caused by multiple stab wounds.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
Police arrested a 44-year-old man from Colne on Sunday in connection with the murder. After consulting the Crown Prosecution Service, detectives have charged the suspect, identified as Frank Wrona, this evening.
