Man Busted for Knife Robbery at Gillingham Amusement Centre

A 28-year-old man has been slapped with six charges after a daylight robbery at a Gillingham amusement centre. The brazen crime unfolded around 10:50am on Sunday, 16 February 2020, on the High Street, when a victim was threatened with a knife and money was stolen.

Suspect Nabbed Two Days Later

Florjan Lleshi, from Ager Avenue, Dagenham, was arrested on Tuesday, 18 February. He now faces charges including robbery and carrying a knife in public linked to the Gillingham incident.

Multiple Charges Over Past Offences

But that’s not all. Lleshi also faces two robbery charges and two counts of knife possession from earlier crimes in Romford on 1 July and 31 July 2019.

Court Appearance and Custody

The accused appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 19 February. He was remanded in custody and is set to face Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday, 18 March.
