Wigan Man Jailed for 14 Years Over Shocking Teen Sex Crimes

Graham Young from Hesketh Meadow Lane, Wigan, has been slammed with a 14-and-a-half-year prison sentence. The criminal pleaded guilty to 11 sex offences involving two teenage girls, leaving the local community shaken. Among the charges were horrendous crimes against a child.

Groomed Victims Using Friends and Sinister Language

The court revealed how Young cunningly targeted the teenagers by mingling with people close to them. He deployed highly sexualised language and disturbing innuendo to groom the girls for his depraved purposes.

Possessed Sickening Illegal Material

Young’s appalling offences also included possession of Category A and B videos of a child, as well as images spanning Categories A, B, and C. He was also convicted of inciting a child to take part in sexual acts and voyeurism. These twisted crimes have caused lasting trauma to the victims.

Child Protection Unit Praise Sentencing Outcome

“We are pleased with today’s result, which has seen a dangerous, sexual predator removed from our streets,” said DC Stephanie Goss of Wigan’s Child Protection Unit. “We hope this allows the victims time to heal and come to terms with what they have been through at the hands of this man.”
