Wigan Man Jailed for 14 Years Over Teen Sex Offences

Graham Young from Hesketh Meadow Lane, Wigan, has been locked up for 14-and-a-half years after pleading guilty to multiple sex offences against two teenage girls. Young was convicted on 11 counts, including offences involving a child.

Sinister Grooming Tactics Uncovered in Court

The court heard how Young cunningly manipulated the victims by targeting people close to them. He used highly sexualised language and innuendo to groom the girls for his own vile purposes.

Disturbing Charges Include Possession of Child Abuse Material

Young’s horrific crimes included possession of Category A and B videos and images of a child, inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and voyeurism. These appalling offences have caused lasting trauma for the victims.

Child Protection Officer Welcomes Harsh Sentence

Detective Constable Stephanie Goss from Wigan’s Child Protection Unit said, “We are pleased with today’s result, which has seen a dangerous, sexual predator removed from our streets. We hope this allows the victims to begin healing and come to terms with what they suffered at his hands.”
