Serious Crash at Sherford Cross Leaves Infant Critically Injured
Police rushed to Sherford Cross, Chillington, after a two-car smash at 5.10pm on Tuesday, 8 November.
VW Touareg and Touran Collide
The crash involved a black VW Touareg and a blue VW Touran. Three passengers in the Touran – an adult and two children – were rushed to Derriford Hospital by ambulance and air ambulance.
Infant Flown to Bristol with Serious Head Injury
Tragically, an infant suffered a serious head injury and was later transferred to Bristol Royal Hospital for specialist care.
Police Investigate, Appeal for Witnesses
Local officers and the Alliance Roads Policing Team sealed off the scene for a forensic probe before reopening the road. They are now hunting for witnesses.
