Sixties Man Found Dead After Tesco Mob Scooter Theft
Police were scrambled just before 6 a.m. yesterday after a man in his 60s was found unresponsive in the Tesco car park on Stratford Road. He was missing his mobility scooter, his key mode of transport.
Paramedics rushed him to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, but he sadly died later that day. His family have been informed.
Robbery Suspected in Tragic Death
It’s believed the man was robbed, and the stolen mobility scooter is at the centre of the investigation.
A woman from Stroud has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and murder. She remains in police custody as of Monday, 23 January.
Police Hunt for Missing Mobility Scooter
Officers want anyone who spotted a black, four-wheeled mobility scooter with a front basket and arm rests in Paganhill between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. on Sunday to come forward.
The suspected stolen scooter was found by a member of the public at just before 8 a.m. on Bisley Old Road.
CCTV and Dashcam Footage Could Crack Case
Gloucestershire’s Major Crime Investigation Team has launched a murder probe and is appealing to local residents to check doorbell cams, CCTV, and dashcams for any footage showing the scooter.
