Brutal Uxbridge Attack: Police Hunt Second Suspect in Life-Threatening Assault
Police are urgently hunting a man tied to a savage attack in Uxbridge High Street that left a 34-year-old victim fighting for his life. The violent assault happened just after 3am on Saturday, 17 August 2019, outside a local pub.
Victim Left in Coma After Horrific Head Attack
The victim suffered a fractured skull and brain bleed, plunging him into a 17-day coma. CCTV footage reveals the appalling moment a man repeatedly kicked and stamped on the victim’s head.
Though now out of hospital, the victim has struggled to walk again and faces ongoing physical and psychological trauma.
One Culprit Locked Up, But Police Still Hunting Accomplice
Jay Fletcher, 28, from Ennerdale Close, was swiftly identified, arrested on 23 August, and later sentenced to 12 years for grievous bodily harm with intent. He must serve at least eight years behind bars.
But the hunt continues for a second man caught on CCTV holding the victim’s head steady while Fletcher delivered the brutal kicks.
Detective Constable Oliver Mallett said: “This was a shockingly brutal attack in which a man was repeatedly kicked in the head. I am glad Jay Fletcher has been brought to justice and will spend at least eight years in jail.
“However, the other individual involved remains unidentified. I urge anyone who recognises the man in the image to come forward. The victim’s life has been changed forever, and justice won’t be complete until both suspects are caught.”
