Young Woman Dies After Brutal Crash on Hendon Way
A 22-year-old woman, Maria Carolina Do Nascimento Migel, tragically died after a car she was in crashed into another vehicle near Brent Cross Flyover on Hendon Way, NW4. The fatal collision happened at around 3.45am.
High-Speed Escape Ends in Tragedy
Police on patrol spotted a car and tried to stop it near Hendon Way, NW2. The vehicle ignored officers and sped away, but no chase was launched. Minutes later, the same car collided with another vehicle. The occupants of the fleeing car then ran off on foot.
Emergency Response and Arrests
- Paramedics arrived quickly but sadly couldn’t save Maria, who died at the scene.
- The driver of the other car sustained a head injury but is in a stable condition.
- Four men—two aged 29, one 21, and one 32—have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene. They were all later released on bail pending further investigation.

The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been notified, and the Independent Office for Police Conduct is involved, as standard procedure in such serious incidents.
