Baby Girl’s Tragic Death Under Murder Investigation in Tottenham
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are probing the death of 10-week-old Lily-Mai Saint George. The London Ambulance Service rushed to a Tottenham home in Haringey, N15, on the evening of 31 January after reports of an unresponsive baby.
Medical Battle Ends in Heartbreak
Lily-Mai was first taken to North Middlesex Hospital before being transferred to Great Ormond Street Hospital. Despite a desperate fight by doctors, she was pronounced dead on Friday, 21 January at 13:35hrs.
Police Make Arrests Amid Ongoing Investigation
Next of kin have been informed and formal identification is complete. A post-mortem has been conducted, but the exact cause of death remains unknown pending further tests.
On Monday, 16 April, police arrested a 20-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman on suspicion of murder. Both were taken to an east London police station and later released on bail. They are due to return to court later this month.
