Teen Drug Dealer Busted in Eastbourne
A 19-year-old drug dealer from Eastbourne has been slammed with a two-year, two-month prison sentence for peddling Class A and B drugs in the town. Jay Farley ran his illegal racket from June 2022 to February 2023, bombarding phones with bulk texts and arranging deals.
Undercover Police Nab Farley in Major Sting
Farley was arrested on February 8 during a plainclothes patrol on Susans Road. The move was part of a joint force effort—Operation Orochi and Operation Centurion—targeting the notorious county lines drug network across Sussex. Officers from Sussex, Surrey, and the Metropolitan Police all joined forces to bring him down.
Evidence Links Farley to Cannabis and Cocaine Supply
Investigators uncovered proof Farley was supplying cannabis and cocaine locally. Eastbourne CID charged him with two counts of drug supply after raids uncovered mobile phones tied directly to his dealing operation.
Judge Sends Farley Down for Drug Dealing
On March 10, Farley appeared at Lewes Crown Court and pleaded guilty. He was promptly sentenced to 26 months behind bars for his crimes.
Chief Inspector Di Lewis said: “Farley was caught because of bulk advertising texts. A search of his home found phones linked to drug dealing. This case shows how police forces are working together to smash county lines and protect our communities from the harm caused by drugs.”
