Body Found in Car Sparks Police Lockdown at Portsmouth Industrial Estate
Police have cordoned off part of Claybank Road Industrial Estate in Portsmouth after a man’s body was discovered inside a vehicle early this morning.
Early Morning Grim Discovery
Officers rushed to the scene just after 6am following reports of the man dead in a car. Since then, multiple police vehicles have been parked along the road while investigators comb the area.
Vehicle Removed From Scene
By 9am, police removed a vehicle from the crime scene, which remains enclosed within blue cordon tape. The investigation is ongoing.
Workers Left in the Dark
Shocked staff at nearby Hancocks said they arrived to find the estate sealed off, with officers tight-lipped about the situation. “There’s been a lot of police here since we got in,” one worker said.
