Man Busted for Raiding Charity Boxes Across Dover

Police have nailed Jack Goddard, 22, over a string of charity box thefts in Dover. The Sholden resident is accused of nicking donations from eight local venues between late August and September.

Targets Included Pubs, Hotel, and a Sea Angling Club

  • The White Horse Inn, St James Street – 10 September
  • The Three Cups Public House, Crabble Hill – 8 September
  • Dover Marina Hotel, Waterloo Crescent – 2 & 5 September
  • The Dewdrop Public House, Tower Hamlets Street – 5 September
  • The Old Endeavour Public House, London Road – 4 September
  • The Park Inn, Park Place – 2 September
  • Dover Sea Angling Club, Priory Road – 28 August

More Charges Over Shop Theft

Goddard also faces four other theft charges linked to stealing goods from Asda in Charlton Green and Boots on Biggin Street, dating back to August and September 2018.

Remanded in Custody Ahead of Court Appearance

Jack Goddard is currently in custody and is due to face 12 charges at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 13 September.
