Six Charged Over 2017 Fatal Stabbing in Penge
Three Face Court Over Murder
Ryan Brown, 20, from Bywood Avenue, Croydon, appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 12 October. He is charged with murder and remanded in custody. Brown will next face the Old Bailey on Monday, 17 October.
Jamie Marshall, 21, of Burham Close, SE20, appeared at Exeter Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 13 October. He too faces a murder charge and has been remanded in custody. Marshall’s case moves to Truro Crown Court on Monday, 17 October.
Divon Henry-Campbell, 22, from West Street, Gravesend, appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 14 October, charged with murder. He remains in custody ahead of his Old Bailey hearing on 17 October.
Three More Slated to Appear
Sorraviho Smith (22), Jason Smith (19), and Nyron Jean-Baptiste (21) have all been charged via postal requisition with murder. They are due to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 18 October.
Victim Died After Brutal 2017 Stabbing
The charges come after a long investigation into the stabbing death of Michael, aged 17, who was attacked in Betts Park, Penge, on 2 November 2017.
The Met’s Specialist Crime Command homicide detectives led the probe, resulting in these six murder charges.
