Second Man Arrested Over Shovel Murder at M25 Cobham Services
Police have made a second arrest in connection with the brutal shovel attack murder at Cobham Services on the M25. The incident, which shocked the local community, took place on Monday 26 June.
Second Arrest Made in Murder Probe
Officers investigating the death of 20-year-old Hughie Saunders, aka Quhey, from Essex, have detained another suspect on suspicion of murder. This is the second man to be arrested since the savage attack at the petrol station.
Inquest Opens and Suspended
Earlier today, the inquest into Hughie’s death was opened at Surrey Coroner’s Court but was quickly suspended. The investigation continues.
Police Seek Key Witness in Camouflage
Surrey Police urgently want to speak to every witness present between 3 and 3:30pm on 26 June. In particular, they are hunting a man spotted on CCTV wearing military or camouflage clothing inside the store. He could hold crucial information to crack the case.

The Suspect in Custody
On Monday 3 July, Simon Daniel Baker, 22, from Green Lane, Outwood, near Redhill, was charged with murder. He appeared at the Old Bailey today, was remanded in custody, and is scheduled to appear at Guildford Crown Court on 13 November 2017.
