Man Charged with Murder After Stabbing in Boughton-under-Blean

Fatal Stab Attack Rocks Quiet Kent Village

A man in his 30s was stabbed to death in Boughton-under-Blean near Faversham on Wednesday night, March 13.

Police and South East Coast Ambulance rushed to The Street at 10:39pm following reports of a disturbance. Despite emergency efforts, the victim tragically died at the scene.

Suspect Arrested and Charged

The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate launched a murder probe immediately.

On Thursday, March 14, 33-year-old William Cosier from Canterbury walked into Canterbury police station and was arrested.

Today, Saturday, March 16, the Crown Prosecution Service charged Cosier with murder and possessing a knife in a public place. He’s now in custody and due at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court later.

Others Held, Some Released

Three other men aged between 37 and 42 were also arrested but have been granted bail as inquiries continue.

Meanwhile, two men, aged 31 and 43, were released without charges.
