Serious Crash Shuts M2 Westbound in Kent
The M2 in Kent is completely closed westbound towards London between Junction 6 Perry Court Interchange (Faversham, Ashford A251) and Junction 5 Stockbury Interchange (Maidstone, Sheerness A249; The WEST M20, M25) following a serious collision.
Emergency Services on Scene
Kent Police, South East Ambulance Service, and National Highways Traffic Officers are at the scene. Due to the severity of the crash, a detailed collision investigation is underway, and the road closure is expected to last for a considerable time.

The official diversion, marked by solid square signs, is as follows:
- Exit M2 westbound at Junction 2
- Turn left onto the A251 southbound at slip road end
- Continue on A251 to the A252 roundabout at Challock
- Take the third exit onto A252 westbound
- Proceed to Charing and the A20 roundabout
- Take third exit onto A20 towards Maidstone
- Stay on A20 to Junction 8 of M20
- Join M20 westbound at Junction 8
- Leave M20 at Junction 7, then third exit onto A249 northbound
- Continue on A249 to M2 Junction 5
- Take third exit at roundabout to rejoin M2 westbound
