Serious Crash Shuts M2 Westbound in Kent
The M2 is completely closed westbound towards London between junction 6 (Perry Court Interchange) and junction 5 (Stockbury Interchange) after a major collision.
Kent Police, South East Ambulance Service, and National Highways Traffic Officers are at the scene. The closure is expected to last for hours due to a full collision investigation.
Major Diversion Route in Place

- Leave the M2 at J2 westbound
- Turn left onto the A251 southbound
- Follow A251 to the Challock roundabout with the A252
- Take third exit onto A252 westbound through Charing
- At A20 roundabout, take third exit towards maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone
- Continue on A20 to M20 junction 8
- Join M20 westbound then exit at J7
- At roundabout, take third exit on A249 northbound
- Follow A249 to M2 junction 5
- At junction roundabout, take third exit to re-join M2 westbound
